Traditional Bilbo
This traditional cup and ball game, a playground game of skill and balance, requires hand and eye co-ordination. Versions of this game go back to at least the late middle ages. Swing the cup to catch the ball. Not suitable for under 4 years. 18cm long, made from a hard wood and turned by hand in the UK, this version has a traditional twine wound handle and the ball is secured with a short length of strong and flexible string. Historically this little playground game of skill and chance requiring hand to eye co-ordination, is very ancient: indeed versions of this game go back to the Roman age. Dark Ages and medieval children would have played it, as did Tudor, Stuart, Georgian, and Victorian children. This traditional bilbo comes packaged with intructions and information.
