Items that may be hired
Victorian Schoolgirl and Schoolboy Costumes for schools or groups
This option is only available for schools or groups. A selection of boys' and girls' costumes for hire for your Victorian Day. This option is much less expensive than buying your own costumes.
How it works:
You tell us when you want the hire. The costumes will be delivered by carrier no later than the day before your hire begins. When the hire is completed you pack all the costumes back into the transit boxes and let us know they are ready. We arrange collection.
When you arrange the hire, we will need to know the number of boy and girl costumes, and the approximate age of the children.
The costumes we provide will be from our normal hire stock and will be of various types. There may be some duplication, but there will be a variety of styles. In general the quality is better than our sale stock, and also has customisations.
At the end of the hire you may choose to launder the items (where applicable) before they are returned. Alternatively we will look after this for a small extra charge
Damage and losses must be paid for: so please be careful. We do not charge for normal wear and tear. You will be required to sign a hire document agreeing to these terms.
You are also responsible for returning the costumes on time. If you return them late it may mean that we have difficulties fulfilling another order.

Up to 30 costumes (minimum) £100 for 2 days hire (excludes carriage)

Late return charged at £3.00 per costume per day
Damage and loss charged at cost
A charge of £20.00 will be made on each order to cover carriage
Teacher's Costume
Lady teachers are provided with a suitable Victorian dress or a skirt and blouse. Men teachers are provided with a graduate gown and mortar board. Other costume items may be available. Please phone or email to discuss your requirements, as we need to check that we have suitable sizes in stock. Laundering charges are included.

These charges apply to costumes booked with child costumes. Please enquire for our charges if you want to hire independently.
Other Items for Hire
Slates
A collection of slates and slate pencils, together with cleaning rags. These can be used to practise writing skills. Please note that these can be damaged if they are dropped. Damage will be charged for at cost. The items will be delivered to you no later than one working day before the hire. At the end you pack them and notify us, and we arrange collection.

Wall Hangings
We can offer various wall hangings such as a map of the British Empire, a poster showing correct posture, times tables, picture of Queen Victoria and other items to be introduced. Please enquire if you want something which is not listed.
